Meet the boss

I am an Edinburgh-based freelance translator and interpreter with over 10 years’ experience,
a solid academic background and a strong passion for my job. As an Italian native speaker
who has lived in the UK for the past 15 years, I have a deep understanding of both languages
and cultures: a key to successful cross-cultural communication.

A fully qualified and security-cleared court interpreter and legal translator, I am currently the
only Edinburgh-based English-Italian interpreter holding a DPSI in Law. A direct supplier to
the Metropolitan Police and the Home Office, I also work as a translator and interpreter with
the City of Edinburgh Council, as well as for many language service providers and direct
clients. While the legal and public sectors are my main fields of expertise, I am equally
competent in and enthusiastic about other sectors such as travel & tourism, food & drink, and
art & literature.

Alongside my translation and interpreting work, I also love teaching. Formerly a lecturer
in Translation at the University of Cagliari, Italy, I have contributed to the delivery of
translation and interpreting training courses in Scotland, and I have taught Italian as a foreign
language in various educational institutions, including the University of Edinburgh and
Telford College. I have also acted as an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Being a one-person business I can deliver a high-quality, professional, personalised and
attentive service – without the overheads.

Let me help you break down language barriers.
